11th STATE LEVEL ELOCUTION COMPETITION - 2018

Satara College of Pharmacy, Satara, is organizing State Level Elocution Competition from last 10 years successfully and successively and this was the 11th year of this competition. This 11th State Level Elocution Competition was successfully held at Satara College of Pharmacy, Satara, on Monday, 5th February 2018. Topic for elocution competition was "Does Current Pharmacy Education Fulfill Professional Needs?" Students from different parts of Maharashtra participated in this competition.

Inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon. Dr. Mrs. C. G. Kulkarni, Head of Pharmaceutics Department, Government College of Pharmacy, Karad and Hon. Dr. Mrs. N. M. Bhatia, Professor, Q. A. Department, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Pharmacy, Kolhapur, while the programme was presided over by Hon. Dr. Aniruddha Jagtap, Director, Gourishankar Education Society, Satara. The Programme was started at 11.00 am by worshiping the goddess of knowledge, Saraswati and lighting the lamp at the auspicious hands of honorable Guests. Introductory speech was given by Dr. N. H. Aloorkar, Principal, Satara College of Pharmacy, Satara. Hon. Dr. Mrs. C. G. Kulkarni in her speech congratulated organization for arranging such competition and also appreciated the topic for elocution competition. The competition was started by declaring the rules and time limit. Throughout the competition the audience enjoyed the thoughts of contestants.

Prize distribution ceremony was graced by Hon. Dr. Mrs. C. G. Kulkarni and Hon. Dr. Mrs. N. M. Bhatia, judges of the elocution competition. Dr. Mrs. Bhatia in her speech congratulated and praised all the participants and organizers and expressed her views on the topic of elocution competition.

The winner’s trophy was bagged by Miss. Fatima Mujawar, Allana College of Pharmacy, Pune. First Runner up Prize was awarded to Miss. Shweta Pharande and Second Runner up Prize was given to Miss. Sukanya Patil, Satara College of Pharmacy, Satara.

On this occasion, Mrs. M. N. Veer, Chief Co-ordinator of the elocution competition expressed gratitude towards Satara College of Pharmacy, Satara for giving platform to organize the competition. She also put forth her sincere thanks to Hon. Judges, Principal, Vice – Principal, committee members, teaching, non-teaching staff members and volunteer students for making the programme successful.

The programme came to an end with Pasaydan and a group photograph of winners, all the participants, committee members and volunteer students.
